Service. You'd figure places and boutiques of the upper range would provide customers with the best service. Yes, don't get me wrong. Many do. Notice the key word: Many; not All. Many.

I was walking into Gurney Plaza with my mom and sister yesterday after having dinner when the shop closest to us had this don't-play-play looking dressed up mannequins behind its Versace windows and we thought, "Okay let's just have a look". There were three sales people and I think another couple who was looking through a few racks. I was quite puzzled at the lack of greeting when we stepped in but brushed it off when I got attracted to the heels. Anyway, we browsed a few items very quickly and then walked out. Well, that was what my mom and sister did. I however did not appreciate the air I was feeling from the salespeople. I picked up one heel, did a quick 360 view of it and set it down at its original place. I glanced over at the closest sales lady whose face read "Get your hands off the expensive shoes cos you know you so can't afford it". Of course, I did not walk away. I picked up another one and did the same thing. And then I turned around to my mom and she signalled to go to the opposite shop. My mom and sister were several feet in front of me. I put on my game face and gave a brief look to the sales lady and friends with eyes saying "This is all you've got?"

I never meant to play the mean card. Well, I wouldn't even consider my actions or intentions mean. I'd prefer to call it ... the customer card - you must know when to use it, how to use it. Watch out, Danish. I paid a little more attention than usual to the service given by all the shops we entered for the rest of the evening. The best were from Parkson and The Mod House. Nike did well too. Grats to them.

Meant to write this yesteryday but was caught up in group project. So here goes.

It's DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somehow, the ring in the name of this month always brings so much joy. I suppose part of it has to do with the school days of which never falls in December. He he. Fantastic. It's a month of extra giving!

Weekend in KL was very much enjoyable. Drove down with Amelia on Thursday evening and we went for our first round of shopping. I was lucky enough to share her Krispy Kreme moment! Lol. And she agrees with me about 'em. JCo and Big Apple still rule. My moment was with my darling boyfriend middle of this year. Hey! Two KK moments took place in my place in KL. Haha. We spent most of the day at Pavillion the next day where we successfully bought some stuff. I don't know whether to consider it a good thing that the end year sale has not started. He he. Well, I'm working a budget now so I'm trying to be as savvy as possible.

Anyway, the main reason I was down in the twin tower city was to attend a badminton-pingpong friendly match between Harta Intan and Efficient. Although I bruised my right toes on the morning of the event and ended up playing with a very sore and chipped nail next-to-the-littlelest- toe toe, I proudly played for the yellow shirt team in both the games. I played my first ever game of table tennis... singles somemore k.. don't phray phray. But I didn't win it la. Ha ha. Badminton's my forte (kinda). It was much fun being around familiar faces and doing something healthy together. I didn't get to take many shots with my camera because I was busy helping Auntie Bee take pictures with her beautiful Nikon (=D).  Got to meet Junias, also a photography enthusiast, again from the other team; he works at Fox - where I interned.

At Efficient's badminton hall.

Later in the evening we were treated to a sumptuous steamboat dinner at House of Tang, Bangsar. Crab, prawns, fish, roasted pork were the mains alongside a whole range of other food, eggtarts, persimmons and cherries for dessert, and chocolate and chinese wine to end the first part of the night. The roast pig was simply the best I've tasted (and this is coming from a person who was never crazy over roast pig). My dad loved it so much. By the way, the pig was at least 3 feet long me thinks. There were about 50 people at the dinner and barely a quarter of succulent porky was consumed.

From left: Uncle Felix (..doing some African American dance. Lol. Just kidding.), Daddy and Aunty Esther opening the night with the cutting of the hugest roasted pig I've ever seen ceremony.

Then we everyone adjourned to Uncle Vincent's private entertainment venue. I. Am. Still. Very. Very. Impressed. *deep breath* Perhaps one day I should create such a space for my parents since they love to entertain so much, huh. The night went on. Some of us left earlier. It was a tiring but totally awesome day.

Next day, I got my hair done at Hair Atelier by Joulten. I highly recommend him to all your girls. He's cuts and styling has been good so far and he's very informative if you have any enquiries whatsoever regarding hair styling and hair care. And he doesn't push for you to add on any treatement or buy the products or stuff like that. And he can ber-speaking English! That's bonus brownie points.

Back in Kampar now. Holidays are near!

Time sure flies. It's already near the end of November but it feels as though I just blew two big and two small candles stuck into cake. Sooner than we know it, student life would have come to a close and I would be thrusted into the working world. Of course, I have a ga-zillion dream jobs or at least career ideas I would like to have a shot at.

It can actually be pretty fun to spend some time thinking of the near future every once in a while. Let your imagination run wild. I often can get at least one or two interesting ideas that tickle my fancy each time. Tee hee. Gets me excited. Then I remember... my final year stands in the way. It's going to be fast. It's going to be tough. But I'm gearing myself. For now, I'm going to enjoy the rest of my 2009!

So I bought this 3 ringgit childhood fishing game mini me from Tesco after dinner and excitedly took it out once I got home. Wye Han and I had just started playing a round of of it when the other two boys came back from their dinner and decided to give it a try. Lol. Four big teenagers (young adults?) crowd around this little fishing game set barely the size of my hand. It was.... cute. And fun! Then the boyfriend came online. Lesson here? 4 guys against 1 girl can be un-fun. Lol. But I'm me. It was several minutes of lots of laughter in the air. Good. Nice.

Sorry, Amelia. I didn't invite you over to play because you need to be studying at this very point of time when I write this. He he. I still (L) you!
