Merry Christmas! Maybe I'll blog from the Engrand.

GAHHHHHHHHHH I wrote a post and put up pretty pictures that go along with it ... but my faithful laptop decided to close it and didn't copy the entry although I ctrl-c'ed it. Summarizing what I had initially written: Confidence is sexy.

Are you kidding me? It's Sunday already! This week has been a week of spending. Ouch. But it's for others. Yay. Like. I've been doing some baking here and there for various people in the midst of ... doing a thousand and one other things. I wanted to bake another batch of somethings before I go back to Kampar but I just realized over lunch that I'm returning tomorrow. Arh. Too fast. Really. Too fast. It's funny actually how I keep myself busy doing things around the house and going out but when I try to list out the things I've done, it all seems too few. Anyway, managed to have coffee and lunch with a few of the babes this week. Haven't been seeing much of them lately. And looking at the coming weeks of Christmas holiday excitement, I need to get down to a more organized plan in order to divide my time well andhopefullylosesomepoundsalongtheway.

Service. You'd figure places and boutiques of the upper range would provide customers with the best service. Yes, don't get me wrong. Many do. Notice the key word: Many; not All. Many. I was walking into Gurney Plaza with my mom and sister yesterday after having dinner when the shop closest to us had this don't-play-play looking dressed up mannequins behind its Versace windows and we thought, "Okay let's just have a look". There were three sales people and I think another couple who was looking through a few racks. I was quite puzzled at the lack of greeting when we stepped in but brushed it off when I got attracted to the heels. Anyway, we browsed a few items very quickly and then walked out. Well, that was what my mom and sister did. I however did not appreciate the air I was feeling from the salespeople. I picked up one heel, did a quick 360 view of it and set it down at its original place. I glanced over at the closest sales lady whose face read "Get your hands off the expensive shoes cos you know you so can't afford it". Of course, I did not walk away. I picked up another one and did the same thing. And then I turned around to my mom and she signalled to go to the opposite shop. My mom and sister were several feet in front of me. I put on my game face and gave a brief look to the sales lady and friends with eyes saying "This is all you've got?" I never meant to play the mean card. Well, I wouldn't even consider my actions or intentions mean. I'd prefer to call it ... the customer card - you must know when to use it, how to use it. Watch out, Danish. I paid a little more attention than usual to the service given by all the shops we entered for the rest of the evening. The best were from Parkson and The Mod House. Nike did well too. Grats to them.
